Remaining open so that we may enjoy the benefits of tennis and other physical fitness, the Manlius Y will implement a mask mandate for all tennis activities.
All tennis instructors and players will be asked to wear their masks on court starting 20 December. Masks plus diligent adherence to social distancing practices will help to reduce our risks of potential COVID transmission which benefits everyone.
“I think it is a reasonable compromise for players,” said one player when asked how it might affect his tennis. “We get to play tennis which is something I think we all wish to continue.”
